Secure Payment

Your payment never goes straight to the seller. It is released once you receive and approve the item. This applies to every lot you buy — without exception.

Where your money is

  1. 1

    You win the lot

    Money with you

If yours is the highest bid when bidding ends, an order is created. You have 48 hours to pay.

  2. 2

You pay — the money goes into escrow

    Money in escrow

The amount is charged to your card but does NOT go to the seller. It is held at the bank and waits there.

  3. 3

    The seller ships

    Money in escrow

The seller ships within 5 business days of payment and enters the tracking number, or you meet for an in-person handover. Shipping is paid by the seller. The money is still in escrow at this step.

  4. 4

    You receive and inspect

    Money in escrow

When the parcel arrives you tap "I received it"; if you do not, it counts as delivered 10 days after dispatch. After delivery you have 10 days to inspect shipped items, 24 hours for handovers. You compare the item with its description.

  5. 5

You approve — the money goes to the seller

    Money with the seller

With your approval the amount is transferred to the seller. If you do not approve, it is transferred automatically when the period ends.

If something goes wrong

You open a dispute

If the item did not arrive, is not as described, is damaged or you suspect it is fake, you open a dispute within the inspection period. You can attach photos and documents.

The clock stops

The moment a dispute is opened, automatic transfer stops. Nothing is paid to the seller until the dispute is resolved. The money stays where it is.

For in-person handover

When you meet, hold and inspect the item. If you are satisfied, tell the seller the 6-digit code shown on your screen; delivery is confirmed when the seller enters it.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a buyer's premium or a shipping fee?
No. The hammer price is what you pay; shipping is paid by the seller. Commission is deducted from the seller.
What if I forget to approve?
When the inspection period ends, the order is approved automatically and the amount goes to the seller. You can open a dispute before the period ends.
What if I do not pay for a lot I won?
An order not paid within 48 hours is cancelled, a strike is added to your account and the lot is offered to the second-highest bidder. After three strikes the account is closed permanently.
What if the seller does not ship?
The money stays in escrow as yours. When you open a dispute, it is refunded after review.
