Why
In Turkey, buying and selling antiques, old coins and stamps still relies largely on personal trust. The buyer sends the money first and the seller ships later — or the other way round. Neither side has a mechanism to fall back on if the other does not keep their word.
MüzayedeBox was founded to close that gap. We make one promise, and it applies to every lot without exception: the money you pay is held in escrow until you receive the item and approve it.
How We Work
- Selling is by approval only. Not everyone can list lots; applications are reviewed, and identity and expertise statements are checked.
- Bid ceilings are secret. With automatic bidding, neither the seller nor our staff can see the maximum you enter — this is a restriction enforced in the database, not a policy.
- Sellers cannot bid on their own lots. Price inflation (shill bidding) is blocked by the system.
- Every lot is sold in a live round. In the live round each new bid restarts the hammer timer, so sniping in the last second does not work.
- We charge no buyer's premium. The hammer price is the price you pay.
Cultural Property
Trading in cultural property is a sensitive area. Every lot that goes live is automatically screened under Law No. 2863 on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Property; lots with risky wording, or lots in registration-bound categories without documents, go to human review before they are published.
Treasure hunting and objects from illicit excavation have no place on this platform.
Status
MüzayedeBox is a new platform and currently works with its first group of sellers. Seller applications are open.
